General Questions

Mylo is Hong Kong’s first and only BCVN-formulated pet nutrition brand. Mylo was created for pet parents who believe their dogs deserve more than ordinary pet food. Developed with Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist Dr. Moran Tal-Gavriel, Mylo brings together functional fresh meals, precision micronutrition and microbiome support in one science-led nutrition system. MyloMeals provide the fresh-food foundation, MyloMix completes guided home-cooked recipes with essential nutrients, and MyloBiome™ offers targeted functional biotic support. Together, they support dogs’ everyday health, long-term wellbeing and happier years together — because the best years together begin with what goes into the bowl every day.
Mylo is Hong Kong’s first and only Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist formulated pet nutrition brand. MyloMeals are gently cooked functional fresh meals made with human-grade ingredients and designed to support five key wellness functions every day, rather than simply filling the bowl. Compared with many kibbles that rely on high-heat extrusion, MyloMeals keep food recognisable, aromatic and enjoyable, while supporting areas such as healthy inflammatory responses, digestive balance, skin and coat, mobility, cognition and long-term vitality. This combination of real food, functional nutrition and BCVN formulation is what makes Mylo one of Hong Kong’s most trusted fresh meal choices.
Yes. Mylo offers different recipe choices for different needs, including age, protein level, fat level, phosphorus level and everyday lifestyle requirements. To help pet parents choose confidently, Mylo uses a BCVN-developed algorithm based on Mylo’s 10 Golden Metrics, including age, breed, gender, weight, body condition, reproductive status, activity level, existing allergies, digestive issues and health issues. If you are unsure, simply message the Mylo team and we can help recommend the best product mix for your dog.
Each product has a different purpose. MyloMeals are Mylo’s functional fresh meals for dogs, and every MyloMeals recipe already includes MyloMix inside for daily essential nutrients. MyloMix is also available as a standalone product for pet parents who prefer guided home-cooking for their dogs. MyloMix comes with the free Mylo Cookbook developed by Dr. Moran, helping pet parents complete guided home-cooked meals when used with the recommended recipes and portion guidance. MyloBiome™ is a functional biotic supplement range targeting four key functions — oral health, healthy aging, skin and coat, and immune and digestive support — transforming everyday meals into nutrition plus gut-health care.
Most dogs are very interested once they smell real food in the bowl. That said, every dog has its own preferences, and some simply need more time to adjust. If your dog needs time, start with a gradual transition and warm the meal slightly to bring out the aroma. We also offer different protein choices for picky eaters, so there is a good chance your dog will find a favourite with us.
Yes. Mylo’s subscription has no long-term commitment. You can change products, postpone delivery, pause your plan or cancel at any time. The goal is to make fresh feeding easier and more flexible, not to lock pet parents into something that no longer fits their dog’s needs.
At Mylo, “human-grade” means we use ingredients that meet human-food quality expectations, rather than anonymous feed-grade materials, and manufacture them in a human-grade licensed facility. It is not legally required to do so in Hong Kong or in many Asian markets, but we believe it is the right thing to do. That is why Mylo chooses this higher standard for pet parents who want more transparency and confidence in what they feed every day.
Yes. Mylo offers both one-time purchase and subscription options. We also offer trial packs for some products. Subscription customers enjoy 20% off recurring orders, and subscriptions can be paused, changed, postponed or cancelled at any time. You can start with a one-time order first, then move into subscription once you know what works best for your dog.
SF Express supports Mylo’s delivery operations in Hong Kong, so wherever SF Express covers, Mylo covers. For MyloMeals, orders are delivered in Mylo’s specially designed temperature-sensitive delivery box, and SF Express will contact you to confirm the delivery time. If your order arrives damaged, warm or not as expected, contact Mylo as soon as possible with photos, delivery time and order details. Do not feed any pack that appears unsafe, damaged, leaking or temperature-abused. Mylo will review the issue quickly and arrange the appropriate replacement, credit or support according to policy.

    MyloMix

MyloMix is a daily essential nutrient mix designed to help complete guided home-cooked meals for dogs when used as directed. It is formulated by Mylo’s Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist, Dr. Moran Tal-Gavriel, and comes with the free Mylo Cookbook developed by Dr. Moran. Together, MyloMix and the cookbook help pet parents cook with love while completing the meal with science, using the recommended recipes and portion guidance.
Because “good ingredients” and “complete nutrition” are not the same thing. Dogs need specific nutrient levels over time, and some nutrients are difficult to supply consistently through whole foods alone. MyloMix helps close those gaps so the bowl can meet complete-and-balanced expectations when used with the recommended recipes and portion guidance in the free Mylo Cookbook.
MyloMix contains a calibrated blend of 25+ essential vitamins, minerals and trace nutrients, which may include nutrients such as vitamins A, D, E and B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese, iodine and selenium. These nutrients sound small, but they do big jobs in bones, immunity, skin, coat, metabolism and everyday health.
MyloMix has different formulas addressing different needs for puppies and adult dogs. MyloMix also comes with the free Mylo Cookbook developed by Dr. Moran, which includes BCVN-designed recipes and an extensive guaranteed analysis of nutrients, so pet parents can choose the most suitable nutrition profile for their dogs.
Simply add the recommended amount to your home-cooked meals according to the Mylo Cookbook and mix well. We do not recommend high-heat treatment after MyloMix is added, especially heating above 50°C, to minimise nutrient destruction.
One missed serving is usually not a crisis. Don’t panic. Do not double the next dose unless Mylo or your veterinarian specifically tells you to. Just return to the normal plan at the next meal. Nutritional completeness is about consistency over time, not panic over one forgotten scoop.
Usually no, unless your veterinarian recommends so. When you feed according to the Mylo Cookbook as directed, MyloMix is already designed to complete the meal. Adding separate vitamins or minerals can create excess, especially with fat-soluble vitamins and certain minerals that have safe upper limits.
Yes, over-supplementing is possible if multiple products are layered without nutritional guidance. More is not always better in nutrition. MyloMix should be used according to the Mylo Cookbook, and any additional medical supplement should be discussed with your veterinarian.
No, we do not recommend using MyloMix casually with another diet unless your veterinarian has reviewed the nutritional analysis. MyloMix is designed to be paired with the free Mylo Cookbook developed by Dr. Moran. If added to an unknown food base, the final bowl may still be deficient in some nutrients and excessive in others.
MyloMix is designed without unnecessary artificial colours or preservatives. The focus is on nutrients that have a job to do. If your dog has known allergies or intolerances, please share the details with Mylo before starting so we can check suitability.
MyloMix can be used for puppies and senior dogs when matched to the correct formula, recipe and life stage. The key is correct dose and correct context. Growing puppies and older dogs both deserve precision, just for different reasons.
Store MyloMix in a cool, dry place, away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Close the container properly after each use. How long one bag lasts depends on your dog’s size and daily plan.

      MyloMeals

All Mylo recipes and products are formulated by Dr. Moran Tal-Gavriel, Mylo’s on-staff Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist. Mylo is Hong Kong’s first and only BCVN-formulated pet nutrition brand. This matters because daily food is not a small decision: when something is fed every day, precise formulation, nutrient balance and qualified nutrition oversight become essential.
MyloMeals are gently cooked, human-grade functional fresh meals for dogs. Each meal is made with real, recognisable ingredients and designed to support five key wellness functions for longevity: digestion, skin and coat, joint mobility, cognitive wellbeing, and muscle strength or overall vitality. Every MyloMeals recipe already includes Mylo’s proprietary BCVN-developed MyloMix for daily essential nutrients, so pet parents can enjoy the convenience of a fresh meal that is also nutritionally considered.
Yes — but MyloMeals are designed to be more than just complete and balanced. They are formulated to meet AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profile expectations, and every MyloMeals recipe already includes Mylo’s proprietary MyloMix to provide the daily essential nutrient layer. Beyond basic completeness, MyloMeals are functional meals designed to strengthen five core wellness functions and support dogs’ long-term vitality.
Whole foods are wonderful, but even excellent whole-food recipes can miss tiny but essential nutrients, or may not provide iodine, zinc, manganese, copper, vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus in the best amount and ratio every day. MyloMix is the precision layer that helps close those nutritional gaps, so every bowl is not only fresh, but nutritionally complete when served as directed.
You can use Mylo’s BCVN-developed algorithm to choose the best product for your dog. The recommendation is based on Mylo’s 10 Golden Metrics, including age, breed, gender, weight, body condition, reproductive status, activity level, existing allergies, digestive issues and health issues. If your dog requires special dietary support because of a health condition, Mylo also offers the MyloMeals Premium Service, which enables a private one-on-one consultation with Dr. Moran to tailor a recipe for your dog.
MyloMeals use named, recognisable ingredients — real proteins, vegetables, carbohydrate sources and carefully selected oils. Every ingredient should have a nutritional reason for being in the bowl. No mystery meat, no unclear fillers, and no unnecessary confusion when reading the ingredient list.
MyloMeals are gently cooked, not raw. Gentle cooking helps make the food safer and more convenient for everyday feeding, while still retaining nutrients, aroma and a real food-like texture. It is a strong choice for families who want fresh food without the practical concerns of raw feeding.
Yes. MyloMeals have different recipes for puppies, adult dogs and senior dogs. Puppies need growth support, adults need maintenance, and seniors may need more careful calorie, protein and mineral planning. If your dog has a diagnosed medical condition, please check with your veterinarian before changing diet.
A slow transition is kinder to the tummy. For most dogs, start with about 25% MyloMeals and 75% current food for two days, move to 50/50 for the next two days, then 75% MyloMeals for another two days before going fully Mylo. Sensitive dogs may need 10–14 days. Soft stool during early transition can happen; repeated vomiting, blood in stool or complete food refusal should be discussed with a veterinarian.
Keep MyloMeals frozen until you are ready to serve them within the next 24 hours. Thaw in the refrigerator, then serve within the shelf-life stated on the pack. Once opened, keep the pack chilled and use it within the recommended time. For food safety, do not leave fresh food sitting at room temperature for long periods.
Serve chilled or slightly warmed, depending on your dog’s preference. Many dogs prefer the meal closer to room temperature because the aroma becomes more inviting. MyloMeals packaging is designed to be warmed in boiled water, so you can warm it gently using warm water around the pack or bowl. Do not microwave sealed packaging.
For best quality and safety, we recommend thawing only what your dog needs and avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. If a pack has been fully thawed in the refrigerator and kept cold, follow the pack’s storage guidance. If it has been left warm for too long, it is safer not to feed it.
Because MyloMeals are handcrafted with real ingredients, natural colour, texture and moisture variation can happen. Vegetables, meats and oils do not behave like factory-standardised pellets. The important point is that recipes are controlled nutritionally.
First, do not panic — some dogs simply need a slower introduction. Try warming the meal slightly, mixing it with a small amount of their current food, or offering it at a quieter mealtime. If your dog still refuses it, contact Mylo and we can help review the choice of recipe, transition speed and feeding routine.
A transparent fresh-food diet can be helpful for many dogs with sensitive digestion or suspected food intolerances because the ingredients are clear and easier to manage. However, true food allergies require careful veterinary diagnosis and, often, a structured elimination diet. If your dog has repeated vomiting, diarrhoea, itching, ear infections or a confirmed allergy, please involve your veterinarian.
Yes, you can use MyloMeals as a fresh topper, but the nutritional meaning changes. If MyloMeals are only part of the bowl, the overall diet depends on what else is being fed. For complete daily feeding and to achieve the intended functional support, feed MyloMeals as the full meal according to the plan.
MyloMeals are made in a human-grade licensed food factory. The quality-control approach includes ingredient selection and checking, recipe review, controlled production, cold-chain handling and batch-level records. This kind of transparency is aligned with the questions WSAVA recommends pet parents ask food companies, including who formulates the food, how quality is controlled and whether nutrient information is available.
Yes. All MyloMeals have a full guaranteed analysis according to AAFCO standards available on the Mylo website. If you need further information, Mylo should be able to support you with appropriate nutrition information, especially for dogs managing weight, growth, senior care or medical conditions.
Mylo is built to align with the kind of questions WSAVA recommends pet parents ask: who formulates the food, what qualifications they have, whether the diet meets recognised nutrient standards, how quality is controlled, whether nutritional information is available, and how the company supports nutrition research.
AAFCO does not “approve” individual pet foods in the way consumers sometimes imagine. More accurate wording is that a diet is formulated to meet AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles, or substantiated by an AAFCO-recognised feeding-trial protocol, depending on the product claim. MyloMeals are formulated by Mylo’s BCVN to meet AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profile expectations — and Mylo goes beyond basic completeness by making the meals functional, supporting five core wellness functions.

        MyloBiome™

MyloBiome™ is Mylo’s functional microbiome support range, designed to work alongside MyloMeals and MyloMix. It focuses on the gut microbiome — the living ecosystem of microorganisms in your dog’s digestive tract — which is increasingly recognised as important for digestion, stool quality, immune function and overall wellbeing.
The gut is not just a food-processing tube. It is deeply connected to nutrient absorption, stool consistency, immune signalling and the way dogs respond to dietary changes. A balanced gut microbiome is one reason a dog can eat well, absorb nutrients well and maintain good stool quality.
Probiotics are beneficial live microorganisms that can support the host when given in adequate amounts. Prebiotics are fibres or nutrients that feed beneficial microbes. Postbiotics are beneficial compounds produced by microorganisms or derived from them. In plain English: probiotics are the helpful guests, prebiotics are their snacks, and postbiotics are some of the useful things they make. Not every MyloBiome™ formula is a probiotic formula; some formulas use probiotics, while others may use prebiotic, postbiotic or key nutrient approaches depending on the wellness goal.
The right formula depends on your dog’s needs, such as oral health, healthy aging, skin and coat, immune support, digestion or stool quality. If you are unsure, tell us about your dog’s age, diet, stool pattern, skin condition and health history, and the Mylo team can guide you.
Yes. MyloBiome™ is designed as the functional microbiome layer of the Mylo system. MyloMeals and MyloMix cover the food and complete-nutrition foundation, while MyloBiome™ adds targeted gut and microbiome support.
Add the recommended amount directly to your dog’s meal and mix lightly. For best acceptance, serve it consistently with food. Store according to the label, usually in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight, unless the product label says otherwise.
Some dogs show stool or digestive changes within a few days, while others need two to four weeks of consistent use. The microbiome is a living ecosystem, not an on/off switch. Consistency matters more than rushing.
Mild temporary changes in stool texture, frequency or smell can happen when the gut adjusts. This usually settles as the body adapts. Stop and speak to your veterinarian if your dog has severe diarrhoea, repeated vomiting, blood in stool, marked lethargy or symptoms lasting beyond the expected adjustment period.
Often yes, but timing matters, especially if your dog is using a probiotic-containing MyloBiome™ formula. Antibiotics may reduce probiotic viability, so your veterinarian may recommend separating serving times unless different instructions are given. If your dog is on medication, tell your veterinarian which MyloBiome™ formula you plan to use.
Yes. MyloBiome™ is designed for all life stages. However, puppies have developing microbiomes, while senior dogs may have additional medical considerations. If you have concerns, please check with your veterinarian first.
MyloBiome™ is designed to support gut and microbiome balance, and certain formulas may support areas such as oral wellness, skin and coat, stool quality or immune function. However, persistent bad breath, itchiness or soft stool can have many causes, including dental disease, allergies, parasites or medical conditions, so ongoing symptoms should be assessed by a veterinarian.
Yes, MyloBiome™ is designed for consistent use when fed as directed. Daily use is often more meaningful than occasional use because the gut ecosystem responds to routine. If your dog’s needs change, you can review the formula with Mylo or your veterinarian.
Just resume the normal serving at the next meal. Do not double up unless specifically advised. Consistency is helpful, but one missed serving is usually not a concern.
